Team,
I wanted to share a blog post with you that I read this morning. It speaks of the benefits of the small, progressive steps we all take each day in our service to kids and each other.
Know that each of you is an important part of the Maverick team. We all provide meaningful and beneficial care to the kids in our school.
I am amazed at the patience, care, creativity, and love you pour upon your students and each other every day.
You do it when you don't feel like you can give any more.
You welcome one more hug when the last thing you want is another hug.
You fist bump a student when all you want to do is sit down and breathe.
You think about how to reach "that" kid when you are trying to sleep at night.
You take it personally when a student doesn't score as well as you know they can on an assessment.
You give up your personal plan time to support a colleague that just needed someone to talk to.
You want the best for your kids.

As the semester picks up steam and the day to day grind marches on, keep taking one step at a time.
Know that the work you do matters, everyone's work matters!
